1. Structural Composition (The "Double Glazing")
It consists of two panes of glass separated by a sealed spacer bar, creating a cavity (air gap) that is typically filled with air or an inert gas like argon or krypton. This structure significantly reduces heat transfer (keeps interiors warm in winter and cool in summer) and dampens external noise.


2. Anti-Glare Functionality (The "Coating")
The anti-glare property is achieved through one or both of the following technologies applied to the glass surfaces:
Low-Emissivity (Low-E) Coating: A microscopically thin, transparent metal-oxide layer is applied to the inner surfaces of the glass. This reflects long-wave infrared heat back into the room during winter and blocks solar heat in summer, while reducing surface reflectivity.
Anti-Reflective (AR) Etching or Coating: The glass surface undergoes a chemical etching process or receives a multi-layer dielectric coating. This minimizes the reflection of visible light (often reducing reflectance from about 8% down to less than 1%) and increases light transmittance (up to 98%), making the glass nearly invisible.
