Glass mold has always been an industry problem. Glass mold (i.e. anti alkali) undergoes chemical reactions that alter the surface properties of the glass. Under sunlight, the surface appears with phenomena such as rainbows, mold spots, watermarks, oil prints, and paper lines.
Moldy glass often occurs during production, storage, and transportation. The surface of moldy glass products will lose luster, transparency, and exhibit rainbow, white spot, or patch phenomena (difficult to separate), which seriously affects the quality of float glass products, leading to a significant discount in the image of glass enterprises among downstream customers, and even affecting the price of finished products. Especially in the current sluggish glass sales market, an important measure for enterprises to maintain strong competition is to further improve glass quality, minimize the scrap rate caused by mold on glass, and reduce production costs.
Therefore, choosing a good anti mold product is particularly important. At present, there are three main types of protection against mold on glass: anti mold powder, anti mold paper, and anti mold liquid. Among these three types of products, anti mold powder is the best, belonging to the nanoscale polymer material, which has the characteristics of environmental protection, high efficiency, and easy cleaning. Imported anti mold powder has attracted the attention of glass enterprises due to its high-quality materials and strict production requirements. However, its high prices have made glass enterprises feel intimidated, and the serious increase in costs is no longer suitable for the current demand for cost savings advocated by enterprises. In recent years, the rise of domestic anti mold powder has made up for this deficiency, accounting for only one-third of the imported powder in price. Some of the company's products have reached or even exceeded international standards in quality, fully meeting the production needs of domestic glass enterprises. With the increasing added value of glass products, the use of anti mold products is also receiving increasing attention. In response to the development of high-end glass market, a new generation of "coconut shell" anti mold products have emerged, greatly improving the effectiveness of glass anti mold isolation and cleaning. For paper based anti mold, although it is easy to operate, has excellent anti mold effects, and can be recycled, it is gradually replaced by powder products due to its high cost of use, long storage time, and easy to produce paper marks. However, anti mold liquid products are still not mature enough, with low market usage rates, and over time, they can easily lead to poor cleaning and other characteristics.
